- sp – space
- sk – skip
- ch – chain
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- fpdc – front post double crochet
- fptr – front post treble crochet
Stitch Guide
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc):
Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of specified stitch and draw up a loop; (yarn over and draw through two loops) twice.
Front Post Treble Crochet (fptr):
Yarn over twice, insert hook from front to back to front around post of specified stitch and draw up a loop; (yarn over and draw through two loops) three times.
Notes
- Pattern is worked in the round.
- Each round will be joined with a slip stitch to the first sc of round.
- For longer scarf, chain any multiple of four and follow pattern instructions, ignoring stitch counts.
Instructions
Chain 100, sl st to first chain to join.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Round 2: Ch 1,*sc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk next st; repeat from * around; sl st to join. 75 sc, 25 ch-1 sps
Round 3: Ch 1,sc in each sc and in each ch-1 sp around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Round 4: Ch 1, *sc in next 3 sts, sk next sc, dc in ch-1 sp from round 2. Repeat from * around; sl st to join. 75 sc, 25 dc
Round 5: Ch 1,sc in each st around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Round 6: Ch 1,sc in each st around; sl st to join.
Round 7: Ch 1,sc in each st around; sl st to join.
Round 8: Ch 1, *sc in next 3 sts, sk next sc, fptr around dc post (four rows below); repeat from * around; sl st to join. 75 sc, 25 fptr
Round 9: Ch 1,sc in each st around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Round 10: Ch 1, *sc in next 3 sts, sk next sc, fpdc around treble post (two rows below); repeat from * around; sl st to join. 75 sc, 25 fpdc
Round 11: Ch 1,sc in each st around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Rounds 12-23: (repeat rounds 6-11) two times.
Round 24: Ch 1, sc in each st around; sl st to join. 100 sts
Cut yarn, tie off, and weave in ends.
