Jurassic Park Graphghan Crochet Blanket Pattern
If you’re a crocheter and a Jurassic Park fan then this may be the most exciting day of your life. I present to you, the JURASSIC PARK BLANKET. That’s right, boys and girls, yarn, ah, found a way. Hold on to your butts because this blanket is a wild ride and you may not get out alive after weaving in all those ends. But you’re a clever girl and I have faith that you’ll persevere.
What you need to know
This blanket is a beast. The completed graph is 100 x 136 tiles or pixels large and my blanket measures 73 x 50 inches. The pattern is made up of 6 main panels and 3 bonus panels that can be mixed and matched.
Style
I used a mini c2c (corner to corner) stitch. If you’re unfamiliar with the corner to corner method check out my blog post Corner to Corner Crochet for Beginners. However, you don’t have to use c2c. When crocheting a graphghan many other stitches are available including single crochet, double crochet, the bobble stitch, and more.
Yardage
Using a 5 mm (H) hook and the mini c2c stitch, my personal blanket used approximately 4,650 yards of yarn. However, your yardage may vary depending on your hook size, yarn choice, stitch preference, and personal tension.
Colors and Legend
I do not share detailed color legends with specific brand recommendations. Color legends will include general colors like “light blue, dark blue” etc. This way you have the freedom to choose the brand of your liking or pull from your stash.
